Why do people migrate?

People migrate for many different reasons. These reasons can be classified as economic, social, political or environmental:
Economic migration - moving to find work or follow a particular career path.
Social migration - moving somewhere for a better quality of life or to be closer to family or friends.
Political migration - moving to escape political persecution or war.
Environmental - causes of migration include natural disasters such as flooding.
Push factors are the reasons why people leave an area:
  • lack of services
  • lack of safety
  • high crime
  • crop failure
  • drought
  • flooding
  • poverty
  • war
Pull factors are the reasons why people move to a particular area:
  • higher employment
  • more wealth
  • better services
  • good climate
  • safer, less crime
  • political stability
  • more fertile land
  • lower risk from natural hazards

Migration usually happens as a result of a combination of these push and pull factors.

The "Chairos"

In Mexico, we denominate Chairos to people linked to far-left politics (Marxism) who usually practice slacktivism in social networks like Twitter or Facebook making annoying hashtags based in conspiracy theories. They also insult other people if they don't agree with their points of view, usually call them fascist. They don't think for themselves, these people repite the same things wich lack of logical support and they attend many manifestations against the government by blocking streets, roads to show their disagreement. Besides, they believe that the United States is the evilest country in the world.

How to identify a Chairo by his clothing?
Bearing in mind that they follow Bob Marley; they usually wear thick frame glasses, a grandpa´s vest, a plaid hat, disheveled long hair or dreadlocks, a V-Neck very small T-Shirt, and also with tucked or flared pants which are 10 sizes less than necessary, and leather shoes.
